Japan 2016 - Osaka to Tokyo

osaka was a really good trip. it was worth the 2-hour journey from tokyo, and worth the wondering around looking for apartment, and the getting lost on the osaka loop line. the apartment was great, usj was great and was hectic yet relaxing, if that makes sense.

we checked out of the apartment at exactly 11am. we were familiar with the road to osaka station and knew which entrance to take and how to go around the umeda underground, it took us around 40 minutes to get from the apartment to shin-osaka station. plenty of time for our 12.30pm train back to tokyo. we grabbed some rice ball to snack on in the train as we had a big breakfast before checking out.

amira was a handful on the train but the boys were relaxed. it was gloomy outside and we didnt get to enjoy the scenery, especially as we made our way into tokyo city.

our last apartment in japan was in kuramae in tokyo. from tokyo station we took the jr line to okachimachi and transfered to the oedo line to kuramae. kuramae is also a big station with lots of exits. we came out of the wrong exit and took a bit of time to get to the apartment. we realised later on that it would only take us 5 minutes if we came out at the first exit (we came out of the middle exit).

this apartment is also nice, similar to the one in osaka but it was much smaller. only 1 bedroom and the kitchen was in the living room, which made cooking a bit difficult with amira around. the owner converted a corner of the living room into a smaller room to fit a single tatami but we used it to store our luggage and clothes instead. being the last stop, i did a lot of laundry and wanted a big area for folding and packing.

we put our feet up for about and hour or so and went out to have dinner nearby. there were many restaurants but the boys saw the golden arches and we could not negotiate with them from then on, so it was fillet o fish again for dinner.
