London 2015 - Day Three

today started pretty much like the day before, only a bit later. the boys woke up at 7am and asked for toasts and cereal. i had time to prepare scramble eggs and beans and toast before hubby woke up and asked for breakfast.

we planned for the big ben today. hubby had a trip to arsenal in his itinerary but looking at the tube lines, i thought big ben was a better option to start the day. we took the circle line all the way to westminster.

when we walked out the boys were oohing and aahing at the london eye, the thames, the big ben, the parliament houses. not just them, we were too. we spent a fair bit of time there looking at the sights before taking the jubilee line to green park and piccadilly line to holloway road.

from the station it was a short walk to the emirates stadium. hubby spent over an hour there while i entertained akmal and ariff, in the freezing cold. amir was at home getting and giving up to date messages so it wasn't that bad. at least i got to spend some time with him.

after hubby was done with his stuff, we took the tube to piccaddilly circus for lunch and yet another round in lilywhites. this time it wasn't as long and akmal entertained himself (and me) at the stall in front of the shop. he went away with postcards for his classmates.

then we walked on piccadilly. from piccadilly circus right up to hyde park corner, hubby stopping at hard rock cafe and i stopped at cath kidston. the boys were in high spirit and were much better travelers today, not too much fuss about the walking and the weather. we took the bus from hyde park corner right to bayswater road.

as we had a couple of hours before sunset, we took the boys to kensington gardens for a bit of run around and a couple of hot chocs.

then we walked to whiteley's because i just had to go back to marks & sparks before going home to call it a day.
