Gold Coast 2014 - Day Eight

we checked out of the gold coast apartment today. we had a leisurely breakfast, cleaned the kitchen, packed our bags and arranged for a cab at about 11am. i planned for a train ride to brisbane as we came via the highway. i booked us a hotel which is next to the station so that we don’t need to walk too far away.

after a quick snack and checking in, we walked towards queen street mall. it was raining when we were in the train and as we walked, it got heavier. we stopped for shelter at every few doors and stopped totally in myer centre as it became too difficult to walk.

we walked around and stopped for an early dinner at the food court, before slowly making our way back to the hotel. just as we were about a block away, the rain turned into a downpour.

not such a good outing but i didn't have a lot planned for today. let's hope the weather turns for the better tomorrow, insyaAllah, else it wouldn't be such a good idea for the outing planned.
