Kota Kinabalu 2013 - Day Four

today was planned as a relaxing day. the boys had a day out at the pongo kids club while hubby and i made appointments at the spa. i was a bit worried for akmal who had very high fever the night before but he looked pretty ok in the morning, so we decided to send him for half a day. after breakfast we took a walk to the kids club at one corner of the hotel.

the place was big and the club was colorful and equipped with many toys, books, chairs and had activities throughout the day. it had a flying fox outside as well as a sandbox and a small area for animals. swimming wasn't on the plan for today so we may pick them up earlier than planned.

we left akmal under amir's scrutiny and went to the spa. totally relaxing time.

after going back to the room to refresh, we called the kids club to ask about the boys. they were happily having lunch except akmal who slept since mid morning. we went to pick him up and took him to the clinic again as his face was totally red. the doctor said his temperature was 40c and gave him voltaren. he slept for a while and woke up refreshed, asking for food. alhamdulillah, after 24 hours of not eating, he managed to get some chips and bread down.

a couple of hours after that we picked the boys up and brought them to the beach. it was a hot and sunny day, opposite of yesterday. lovely day to spend our last afternoon in KK. the boys played on the beach and in the pool for over 3 hours.

we went for dinner at the tepi laut restaurant at the hotel, the boys mesmerized by the culture show they put on. surprisingly the ate a lot except for akmal whose fever had spiked up. he was given voltaren and a sponge bath before going to bed.
