we had a leisurely breakfast and got ready after that. amani was groggy as she would usually wake up at 9am and amira was moody and feverish.
the traffic to singapore was not bad, we left the hotel at 9am and managed to settle immigration, purchase the autopass. top up its value at a 7-11 and enter east coast park by 11am. a friend of mine suggested east coast park as it was by the beach (for a different feel of singapore), had places to eat, playground for them to run around and you can also watch planes land (as its near changi).
amira and the boys loved the breezy wind and the sandy beach and of course the playground.
it rained while we were there so we took shelter and had lunch at mcdonalds. after lunch we let the boys run around a bit more but they surrendered to the heat and said they preferred to go back to the hotel for a dip in the pool instead.
after 3 hours in singapore, we drove back and again it wasn't a long journey. we stopped for goreng pisang mawar next to the hotel and jumped into the pool at 5pm.
a couple of hours in the pool before we got everyone out and ready for dinner at a nearby place called sedap corner. we really like this place, its big, had air-cond, good food, big portion, fast service and not too expensive. we had roti jalan, tomyam seafood, beriani daging, lontong, nasi lemak & various kuihs (not many left as it was nearing closing time).
we went back to the hotel and i prepared for our journey the next day - filing up immigration forms, sterilising amani's bottles, transfering her formula to a milk dispenser. getting extra clothes into a traveling bag. we were to leave early in the morning as we did not want to be stuck in the morning rush hour.
