we took the boys for a swim at the hotel pool for about an hour. i think most of the ones there were all leaving on the same day and just wanted to pass time before check out.
after an hour we went back to the room for showers and change and final packing. check out was a breeze and we went to the car and drove to the johor premium outlet, where we planned to spend around 3-4 hours before going to the airport.
it was stifling hot but we went in and out of the shops and that minimized the heat. i wasn't too keen on the shops at the ground floor but loved the upper floor shops. i got some shopping done at cotton on kids, the gap while hubby went with amir and asyraf to nike, adidas, puma and the like.
we stopped for a late lunch after 2 hours of surveying the shops. i'm still not a fan of premium outlets, more so malaysian premium outlets. i love mcarthur glen outlets as the range of shops are more to my liking as well as the price.
we drove to the airport around 5pm, before the rush hour starts. we don't know the traffic condition in the area and didn't want to risk getting stuck in a traffic jam. we checked in (waiting for the check-in counter to open was a torture), dropped our luggage and had snacks at the departure lounge.
the flight home was quick, a bit shaky at times as it was raining but smoother than the outgoing flight.
we got home in good time for me to settle the laundry, put away our clothes and wind down with the boys. alhamdulillah, the trip went well. the boys had loads of fun despite it being so very very hot. we didn't overspend as we normally do at theme parks and we came home with lovely pictures and memories.
