California 2014 - San Francisco to Los Angeles

after 5 days in san francisco, blessed with lovely weather to walk practically everywhere with the boys, it was time to say goodbye. we were quite sad, its been a really good trip. the boys got to see some famous landmarks, they got to fully let out their energy walking for 5, 6, 7 hours a day, they got to experience a new transportation, i.e. the cable car, they got to see beautiful christmas decorations (ok…that's more for me). it was the perfect first stop on our 3-week adventure, i would chose this anytime over theme parks and theme parks and theme parks outing as a first stop.

we checked out very early on wednesday, our flight was at 11am. check out was a breeze but traffic was quite bad in the city. we got to the airport a little after 9am and were told that our flight was delayed for almost 2 hours due to the weather. the four-hour wait initially felt hugely terrible but time actually passed by quite quickly with us taking a long breakfast and seating the boys right at the window to watch the planes.

we took virgin america to los angeles and we liked their simplicity and relaxed culture. the cabin crew were funny and the safety demonstration on the telly was excellent.

once we landed in lax, it was quite easy to find our shuttle to anaheim. the directions given on our ticket was easy to follow. we thought we had missed our shuttle and had to wait for the next one coming in an hour's time but it was actually circling around the terminal and we managed to catch it.

the drive to anaheim did not feel too long but took about an hour. we were the last to be dropped off. amir & asyraf made friends with the boy sitting in front of them. i like our room, we chose the kids suite at hojo. the boys had their own room with bunk beds and we had our room.

by the time we checked in, got to the room and unpacked for a bit it was already dark outside. we had dinner at the nearby mimi's cafe and made our way home for an early night. we'll be having early mornings for the next few days so we needed to store our energy.
