Singapore 2011 - Day Two

day two was the day the boys were looking forward to. a whole day in the universal studios. seriously, a day is more than enough. some parts of the park cant even provide enough of an attraction for us to visit - a walk past is more than enough.

the queue was a bit long for us when we got to the entrance and it was only 9am. the doors opened around 9.50am that day. entrance was a breeze. we walked through the hollywood area, passed the madagascar and straight to far, far away. we spent quite a bit of time here, and, since it was not crowded at all, we managed to catch both shows - the shrek 4D show and donkey live show - and went up both rides - magic potion spin and enchanted airways (for ariff and asyraf only).

we then walked up towards the lost world, made our way to ancient egypt and sci-fi city and down towards the new york area. we saw some rides but the boys were not very enthusiastic to ride them. i personally wanted to see the transformers ride but the queue probably started at the theme park entrance, it was so long! during the walk we only stopped to take the treasure hunters ride at ancient egypt and watched the monsters rock show at new york. maybe we could have gone for a couple more rides, especially the dino-soaring ride and the jurassic park rapids adventure ride at the lost world.

we stopped for lunch at marty's casa del wild at madagascar. we were quite early and got a good table before the lunchtime crowd started making their way in. about 2pm, it started to shower and we felt a bit tired so we decided to take a trip back to our room for a nap - good idea of getting a room at sentosa.

we had a couple of hours rest and went back into the park for our second round. this time we stayed at madagascar, going on the beach party-go-round and the crate adventure. we managed to get front most view for the madagascar boogie show. it was here that we met asyraf's classmate and her family. after the madagascar show we stayed on the take photos with alex and went to the shop nearby to get some souvenirs.

then we had a quiet dinner at mel's diner and took a slow walk back to the hotel. the boys had fun. i cant help but compare this trip with my first experience at universal studios los angeles back in 1984 and unfortunately, my first experience was much better than this.
