we flew out via subang on firefly, convenient for outgoing but not so upon arrival. we had to walk quite a distance from the plane to the immigration area in changi. our flight was late morning, good enough time to settle the morning's laundry and arrive by lunchtime. once we settled the immigration process, we had a quick lunch in the airport before taking the taxi to sentosa. we read that its not as easy to get halal food there so we filled our tummies first.
we arrived in festive hotel, sentosa around check-in time but had to wait a couple of hours for our room to be ready (very high occupancy due to the school holidays and christmas period). good thing two of the boys had their PSP with them and akmal was easy enough to handle. ariff was the only one we had to keep an eye on and entertain for the two hours. when the room was finally ready, we can't help wanting to cry.
the room itself was great. we booked the family room with a king-sized bed and a bunk bed. there was also a sofa bed so everyone had their own space. as usual, i had to unpack once we got to the room and the boys checked out the room (noisily since its their first experience with a bunk bed). by the time i finished unpacking, the boys were antsy for a walk outside.
we took them to see the merlion, up the imbiah lookout, see the 4D show and had dinner at the pizza place as we were going down. we spent about three hours going up and down and dropped by the nearest 7-11 to get some bread for breakfast.
went back to the room just in time to shower and put the boys in bed early. we had a long day ahead of us coming up and wanted the boys to re-energize.
