Travel With S.EAI.EAS: London - Day 8 (Manchester)

we rested well after the long journey to manchester. the premier inn was a good place, surprisingly. there will another long journey today so we had to be awake & alert. first up on the agenda is a tour of old trafford. the drive from portland street to sir matt busby way is about 15 minutes. the roads look familiar to me but i dont remember them too well.

we missed our scheduled tour but managed to get the next available one which started at 11am. so for 15 minutes we had to entertain the four.

i've been on the tour before, about 13 years ago with tiza. that time there wasnt many people on each round of tour, this time the group was large. a bit embarassing with the boys around. we started the tour at 11am and kept looking at the watch to see what time it was. 1 hour seemed like a long time but we had a great tour guide, who kept making sarcastic remarks - reminds me of ms mock at times. quite a number of things were added to the tour and there were new areas - the tunnel weren't included before, the mega store is new, the player's lounge and changing area are new.

when we finished the tour we just wanted to put the boys in the car and make our journey down south. that's how irrirated we were with them. but zie called and said she was near the area and wanted to have lunch with us. we went to rusholme with her to have the best nasi arab ever! if we were still staying there, i'd eat that everyday. thanks for the lunch, zie!
